Welcome
I’ve been a lot of things and there are a lot of things that I could be, but I’m choosing to be a hallway commuting, stay at home mom. What’s been my biggest surprise so far? That this isn’t Procreator’s Purgatory, but truly the most powerful position I ever could have aspired to.
Content Guide:
- About Me – who I am and who I’ve been, with an unbiased (and unflattering at times) look at how I got this way.
- Chronicles of a Hallway Commuter – funny tales of triumph and defeat in day to day mothering, reviews of mothering stuff I couldn’t live without, and more.
- Healthy Living – stay at home moms have more power than anyone to make healthy choices. Read my story and how by making a simple choice I lost 50 pounds in 5 months (and it’s still off).
- Average Pantry Gourmet – I take your average pantry and spice rack and make delicious family recipes. My rule is that if I can’t pronounce it, I don’t cook it. Search the side-bar for healthy recipes, easy recipes, or by ingredient.
- Mommy Goals of the Month – it’s easy to get bogged down in the normal routine, so this is my attempt to shake things up with simple activity goals for each month.
- Improv Artist – all mommies are Improvers, from stories we make up on the spot to the endless photos we snap of our broods. Here’s where I share my art (created entirely on the fly).
- Your Tales – Have a fun mothering story to share or want to report back about some of the ideas on this site? Use the contact page to send your tales my way, and I’ll post a few each week.
