Surprise for the Already Surprised
Yesterday, after my surprising morning, I wrote a quick email to Jay asking him to please pick up some milk from the store and “Oh my goodness, you can’t imagine the morning I had.”
When he came home he had milk and a sweet surprise.

Flowers!

Thanks Jay – as always you made my day!
Cee’s Good Morning Song
This song is set to the tune of Good Mornin’ from Singing in the Rain. Dancing is not required, but encouraged whenever possible. : )
Good Morning, good morning
You’ve slept the whole night through
Good morning, good morning to you!
Good morning, little doodlebug
Mommy loves you oh so much
Good morning, good morning to you!
Good morning good morning
Little Buddy you’re the best
Good morning good morning, little guy!
No, the verses don’t always rhythm, and sometimes they get downright silly, but Cee sure loves his song and it gets him really excited in the mornings.
Thursday Reveal #3
Wordless Wednesday #3 was taken during Cee’s romp with boxes and garbage earlier in the week. His hands were what struck me as most important in the shot so I used several filters to add contrast and softening to the rest of the picture.
My titles was: Warming Hands Over Invisible Fire
I want to thank everyone who participated in the name the picture game that I like to have every Wednesday. It’s hard to pick just three to mention, but here goes:
The top spot has to go to Matt, who came closest to my title with: Imaginary Fire: Oh Sweet Warmth from the Carpet.
Next is Grandma D with: Wingardium Leviosa.
And third was Annalise with: Mom, Wanna Play Leapfrog?
Thanks again everyone for making this week’s picture so much fun, and I hope you’ll check back next Wednesday for another chance to name the picture.
Wordless Wednesday #3
As always with Wordless Wednesday, please leave a comment with the title or description that you would give the picture. On Thursday I’ll reveal the name I chose as well as the top 3 contributions.

Let Him Play, Let Him Play, Let Him Play!
I purposefully named this section the Improv Artist, because I wanted it to be open to any motherly instant-art. Something that Cee is used to from me is hearing lots of made up songs. I’m no singing sensation, but it’s something that I’ve loved to do since I was a little girl – I blame watching way too many Disney movies.
Tonight, after a long day of errands and adventures, Jay and I were pooped and Cee was wired. This song was inspired by our situation and is set to the tune of Let it Snow.
Oh the darkness outside is creeping
But little Cee is far from sleeping.
Since Mom and Dad are pooped anyway,
Let him play, let him play, let him play.
When we finally kiss goodnight
Oh I hate putting you to bed
‘Cuz you won’t let me hold you tight
You wiggle and giggle instead!
Oh our patience is slowly dying,
And my son, please stop your whining.
Just as long as in the crib you stay -
Let him play, let him play, let him play!
Photo Challenge: Try a New Angle
Here’s a challenge for moms out there that are looking for a fun way to shake up point-n-click photography: try a new angle. All of these pictures were taken over my shoulder while Cee was playing his “Hide Behind Mom” game. I took tons, and was thrilled to find a few gems among the duds. To spruce them up even more I used picnik.com.
